In this book we discussed many issues regarding working women. Here we also deal with the factors that explain as to why women go to work. There is also the desire on the part of the women to give expression to their own talents and skills. Women are mostly engaged in household activitists which are not considered " economic" and therefore, do not get counted as workers under conventional measures of employment. Market-oriented concepts of income and employment do not capture a large part of women's economic activities as these activities consist of production of goods and services for the use of their own households.
